It’s a new year! Are you ready to make a change and strengthen your relationship?
Spend a cozy overnight in beautiful Port Townsend, Washington, with Amy Johnson, Licensed Couple and Family Therapist Associate and owner of Jam Hands Family Therapy, for an invigorating and connecting retreat.
Together, you and your partner will learn strategies for strengthening your connection, build solid communication skills for navigating conflict, and create a shared understanding of each other’s needs and how to meet them.

What You’ll Do
Play interactive games exploring boundaries, expectations, and communication styles.
Discuss curated scenarios of common couple conflicts — see what to do and what to avoid.

Port Townsend offers a plethora of unique lodging opportunities that are perfect for your overnight retreat. From spooky haunted hotels, charming B&Bs, standard hotel rooms, or even camping at Fort Worden State Park, you’re sure to find a stay that’s the right fit for you and your partner.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided during the retreat, but for meals, you’ll have the opportunity to partake in one of Port Townsend’s many cozy restaurant offerings on your own to reflect and connect over a burger and fries or vegan burritos. Because nothing says love like sharing a milkshake or a matcha smoothie with two straws.

This is a retreat for skill-building and support, not therapy.
Exercises are optional; participation at your comfort level is encouraged.
The weekend is designed to give couples tools to practice together at home after the retreat.
We welcome LGBTQIA+ couples and all relationships. At this time, due to space and group dynamics, we can accommodate up to two members of a polycule for this retreat.
